Do you like yourself?
As you look in a mirror, do you like what you see? Do you like that nose from your father’s side? How about those hips from your mother’s side?
Proverb 23:7 For as he think in his heart, so it is
If we stop complaining about whatever little flaw that is wrong with us, we will see everything that is wrong with us. We will complain that the nose is too big and the eyes are too wide spread. As we complain about it, we think to ourselves that is what everyone else is looking at. Everyone is whispering behind our back about. Everyone is laughing about.
Try standing in front of the mirror and saying “Thank you dad for the nose and every time I look at it, I think of you.” Be uplifted and positive about it. Say it over and over until you are convinced that that nose is something on the positive side instead of the negative side.
If all we have to complain about is the size of our nose, there is someone in this world that has something more wrong with their face than the nose. I worked with a lady that had a scar running from her one eye to the corner of her mouth. One day,she caught me looking at it and said that was her birth mark. She went on to say that was how God reminded her daily that other people have it worse than her.
,So as you look in the mirror and complain about the nose, think to yourself how you would sound to God or to that other person who has something wrong with their face that is worse. How they laugh about it and saying God is reminded them of something. Do you still fill like complaining? I don’t!!
