The title says it all….

So  you say that you want true love?
Well let me tell you this-
There is no happiness
There is no bliss.

Love is cruel
It rips out your soul.
It makes you scream
Turns your heart into coal.

Don’t you dare believe
what others say.
They are just blind
but they’ll see the day.

That day when everything
crashes upon them
And then they see
they’re life’s turned to mayhem.

Oh yea,
they may be gloating now
but just wait some time
and they will wonder how.

How all this “love”
turned so bad
and they will deny that
all this time they were sad.

Blind stupidity
that’s what love becomes.
And don’t even pretend
that it hasnt turned to crumbs.

You may think that
it’s all happiness and flowers
but you go a bit longer and
and love loses it’s powers.

And eventually
you can’t stand their face.
And you wish that
you can be any other place.

The awkwardness
just gets stronger
until  you just can’t
take it any longer.

And then you burst
and expload with fury
And pray that the verdict is “not guilty”
by the jury.

So now
have you changed your mind?
About love and happiness
and trying to find…

That perfect someone
who doesn’t exist?
‘Cause I’m telling you now
instead of falling hard- resist!!!

Ah, I have read your poem, thought things such as this:
You think of “true love” as such utter bliss.
But to live a life fully is to have heart ache, and not deny,
sometimes, it hurts, heals, and at times you’ll get a lie.

But never shut yourself away from growing into the sun.
Even if every part of you says to go and just run.
For even if a “true love” has been kissed by death,
honor that love, by LIVING until your very last breath.
