Getting over someone.
Wherever you go
whatever you do
or don’t do
I need you to know
I don’t love
you anymore
I don’t think about you
I don’t wonder
how you’re doing.
I don’t wonder
if you’re coming
back
When I drink Pepsi,
I don’t think about how it
was your favorite soda.
It doesn’t even occur to me,
when I’m running,
that it was your favorite thing
to do.
And, whenever the phone rings,
I don’t ever hope that it might be you.
In fact, that might be a little awkward,
actually.
I kind of hope it isn’t you.
I hope that you don’t call.
Don’t call.
So, wherever you are.
I hope you know
that I don’t cry.
I hope you know that I don’t think
about all the plans
we made.
I bet if I tried to remember them,
I couldn’t
remember
them all.
