A poem about not wanting to leave someone.
Don’t make me go
Keep me here with you
My lungs are expanding
Now that you’re in view
For so long I’ve been lost
Half alive
Not myself
Without you in the room
My inner fire got snuffed out
Please let me stay
I know you want me here
We’re in love
Of that it’s clear
You’re happy beside me
Together things make sense
Exert your power
So that this visit doesn’t have to end
