A door-to-door salesman walking for his wages.
Sales Door to door
Walking down these busy streets
Of a little town
With my aching feet
stuck pushing the ground
beneath me
this cobble stone sidewalk never ends
it never ends
Door upon door I open
counting the people
with whom I’ve spoken
Selling myself
To beat everyone else
who came before me
Though they don’t know me
Tomorrow will be better than today
It really doesn’t matter what you say
But if you believe it
It will happen
Thinking is believing
So tell yourself your alright
I’m alright
