I was young and wrote this little poem, it was a love poem with dragons in it. I wrote it for my dad because he loves dragons.

The dragon is a large reptile.

The dragon has sharp claws,

Two eyes, arms, legs, nostrils, wings, fangs, & horns sometimes.

The dragon is misunderstood,

They’re actually calm & gentle creatures that have feelings.

I can prove it.

One night I heard a gruff voice whimpering,

I followed the sound,

It was a dragon crying.

I spooked him,

He growled, “Why are you here?”

“I heard you crying, why are you crying?”

“Please it’s Kyns,

I was crying because I have no friends or love,

& if we don’t find a mate by the last full moon on our 200th birthday,

We will not join our brothers in the star legacy chain.”

“You will find her,

I’m sure of it,

I’ll help you.”

“I hear something, quiet.”

“Hi.” a soft & gentle voice chimed,

“I’m the Princess of Dragons,

My name is Pyxy.

I’m going through the same thing as you,

Please will you marry me?

You’re real handsome,

Please marry me!”

“Really, I mean yes.”
