About children and dreams and fairies.

My daughter is so girly and nice.
Sugar and spice are a few wonderful features entwined in this bundle of mine.
On this cool summer evening I call upon the dream fairies
Fair dust, fairy dust I sprinkle over you.
Sleep away, sleep away may all your wishes come your way.
May the fairies enchant you so you come back to me for another day of play.
She is my simpleton pumpkin princess in any ordinary day.
Her innocence wholesome charming ways come from the most angelic fairy of the day.
Her good nature ways are always lending a hand to the poorest creature living on this land.
Dream fairies keep her good in her slumber land.
Fair dust, fairy dust I sprinkle over you.
Sleep away, sleep away may all your wishes come your way.
May the fairies enchant you so you come back to me for another day of play.
Close your eyes, close your eyes, softly floating off for the next surprise.
Use your fairy wings to carry you to those jungles from afar.
Sweetest dreams may they come soon for you.
For tomorrow is near in which I will hug you close my dear.
Fair dust, fairy dust I sprinkle over you.
Sleep away, sleep away may all your wishes come your way.
May the fairies enchant you so you come back to me for another day of play.
The fairies are there waiting in your dreams.
Do my eyes deceive me or could there be one sitting on your nose
as it playfully makes your nose twitch and sneeze.
God Bless you: you just given birth to another angelic fairy queen.

You could make a childrens song out of this poem. Nice piece and well done friend.

I was thinking the same thing – a melody runs through it. Very prettily done.

It’s a fun poem. Something I like to do when reading poems is imagine what the complete opposite of it would be…either in form or content. needless to say, the opposite is just as good.

    good work

children remind us daily how simple things we take for granted are each their own little treasure. My little one reminds her mommy everyday that we all can go back to that time when we believed in fairies and that everything was golden and beautiful. Wonderful poem.
