A poem of the magical wonders of escaping into the world of dreams.

In these illusions we witness in our slumbers
There lies a longing of our greatest wonders
Of magic and love and music
The memories of theses impossibilities make us sick
To not be able to grasp these treasures
When in the recesses of our minds we fulfill them without measures

Tell me now of your most recent trip to the land of dreams
Of the stars that feel like ice in your hands
And of the moonlight’s silver beam
Of the balls with wired dresses so elegant and grand
And of the secret kiss on your lips by the stream
Tell me now of the precious sapphire ring you lost in the sand

It’s our escape into a dimension of our own
Where we can enjoy our wildest imaginations alone
With no one there to judge or criticize
Or take away our most deserved prize
Farewell dear Earth, for the next eight hours
I’ll be lost in a bountiful meteor shower
