Realist or Idealist?

I don’t want to be realistic, it makes me feel depressed.
I’d rather dream impossible, so put me to the test.
I’m not afraid of the rejection, not afraid of getting hurt.
I’m afraid life will be miserable or as dull as dirt.
Being realistic means constantly being stressed.
It means continuous worry, it is a life without rest.
But listen when I say that I can’t dream every time.
I completely understand that life gets serious down the line.
But being too realistic is just as bad as only dreaming,
I know that my life will be as gray as it is gleaming.
So don’t worry about me, I’ll figure out what to do.
Just remember: no one controls your life, but you.
