Love in the sunshine or under the moonlight. Dreams reminds you that they are realities.
My baby and I use to take long walks in the park
It did not matter if it was hot or cold weather as long as we were together
We would hold hands and dream into the sunshine
About having a house on the beach
Dream about having a cook out and inviting the whole family over to eat
I wasn’t the greatest cook
But there was never anything left
So maybe I was better than I thought
My baby and I use to take and lay in the park on grandma’s crocheted favorite
And talk about the way the sun would move to the rhythm of our hearts beating
The trees would be dancing also
We were the only ones lying still with the rhythm in us
Our dreams were filled with sunshine and moonlight
As if nothing else mattered
We just wanted to be free for the time being
As the skies moved into another time and space
Not know where to stop
Just moving to the rhythm of my heart beat
As we dreamed, and watched the sunshine turn into the midnight moon
We knew we had to get in the groove and move when we could see
The dancing trees become monsters of the night
We hugged and cuddled to make it back to the car where all dreams ended
Without notice or a trace
The only thing we had left was the rhythms of our hearts beating as one
And our dreams created on the beach in the sunshine
Before the moonlight entered our dreams
And who said dreams, could only happen at night in our sleep?
Who say they had to be remembered scene by scene.
Dreams are our realities just waiting to happen.
