A poem of love from my soon to be published book.
DREAMS OF LOVE
I dream of long conversations
With the one I love.
Of no conversation,
Hands tight as a glove.
One glance across the room,
Brings a glow across my face.
Time ticks slowly,
Waiting for your embrace.
The sound of your voice,
Sends a chill up my spine.
The night lingers on,
At last, it’s time.
A soft gentle lift of my hand
Leading me through
A long staircase
To the top of the roof.
The view is amazing
The night air astound
It’s as if it were made for us
A gift from the ground.
Lights dance across the lawn
From lanterns lit with care
The fresh stream trickling nearby
Is echoed in our ears.
Owls hooting in the trees
Add rhythm to this magic
Love remains all around us
Revealing all acoustics.
As we stand there enjoying
Each others warm embrace,
We can no longer endure
The temptation taking place.
The first kiss is short
A meeting of lips one to the other
The next one stronger,
Passion raging and firmer.
You must love me
I know it is true
How else can these feelings happen?
Are you feeling them too?
Your lips trickle down
My neck to my shoulder,
My legs are quivering,
I’m sure I’ll fall over!
I’m feeling like
I never want this night to end
I want your arms around me
My head is swirling in a spin.
You gently sweep me up
In your broad strong arms
You take me through the French doors
To the bedroom, with your charm.
The bed has been drawn
White lace with red flower petals.
The aroma is arousing
My heart races, timing is vital.
I want you it’s for sure
I need you to be with me
I love you its true
I will embrace you deeply.
As we linger in the darkness
Not a word need be said
My head on your shoulder
My love, Lets go to bed.
