Drugs make time move in strange ways.

I glance at the clock
Tick
Time snailed another inch forward
Tock
Slowly jolting along at its own pace
Snap
Seconds moving one at a time
Bang
A single one gone since I last looked
Tick
But that felt like forever
Tock
I look away leaning back into the chair
Snap
Turing my head to the right I regard my friends laying on the couch
Bang
I turn back to the clock
Tick
A whole half hour has gone
Tock
But I could have sworn I only looked at the clock a second ago
Snap
I turn to the couch but no ones there
Bang
I slip out of my chair and walk outside
Tick
There I find my elusive friends
Tock
Laughter fills the air but quickly turns to whooshing sounds
Snap
Wind rushes past me filling my ears
Bang
I start to sway so I sit instead
Tick
I watch as time starts to rush past again
Tock
It does occur to me that It might have only been a second ago since I sat
Snap
The lighter in my hand flickers to life
Bang
I don’t remember how it got there
Tick
But I drag on the joint that’s now in my mouth
Tock
Time is lost
Because drugs are taken
All I can say
Is have a happy weekend
