A poem about a poor young female duck and her tramatic morning.

 The sun had just risen,

A drake and his lady arrived,

They were just about to tuck in to the oats,

Suddenly out of the sky come the bachelors,

Three young drakes just wanting to score,

The old drake had a sore leg,

When the young drake chased his lady,

All he could do was run after them.

The poor duck ran here and there,

Ducking and dodging all over the place,

Two of the drakes stood to one side,

With a great deal of commotion

The young drake took what he wanted,

Joining his cohorts they quack  loudly,

Not to be out done the old duck,

Catches up and chases all the young drakes off,

Quacking loudly he goes back to his proud young wife.

Then heads high they have breakfast.

Thanks for the comments every one, Living near a river one often sees what should be imoral for the human race taking place in birds or animal life .

Some one told me that some ducks behave that way with ducks that are not well. :)
