Each morning when I wake up,
’tis a new beginning, a new start.
I pray Lord, help me live this day
with a calm and wiser heart.

Each morning when I wake up
I have another walk to take
on my journey through this life.
Lord, help me make fewer mistakes.

Each morning when I wake up
there are new blessings and new hope.
Lord, grant me the wisdom, strength and courage
to with this new day cope.

Each morning as the sun rises
God smiles, even through the gray.
Blessings come in many guises
but blessings come each day.

Each morning when I wake up
I must face another journey in this life
and it is not God’s wish I walk my way
in doubt or fear or strife.

Each morning when I wake up,
a new beginning, a fresh start.
Lord, take my hand and walk with me.
Guide my footsteps, mind and heart.
