Love the Earth.
She’s been destructed
And she has vowed vengeance
As modernization beckons,
Her begging fell into deaf ears
And now, she was left in ruins.
Her vengeance afflicted us with a pain so deep
But we still have not realized,
We have not figured out,
That this pain is of our own making.
Thousands drowned,
Thousand more suffered the cold, homeless night
They shivered from both the hunger and the cold.
We did not heed nature’s call for help,
Now, she’s in pain and mourning,
Her face now contorted by wrath
Her tears will flood the earth,
Her rage will shake the earth.
We will writhe in agony,
We will scream in pain,
We will suffer from the grief and misery.
And then, silence
But there is no one to blame
But us.
