Cruel words said with a smile are not sweet.
The words slip from your tongue
so easily you would think they had melted
like a dribble of pure sucrose
but that is far from the truth
Those words are sticky and tart
with severity it strikes my heart
A build up of crystalised venom
is what I mistook back then
