Reasons to Hate Ebay:
- Ebay has no customer service! They have bots that answer your questions for you called ‘live-help’. There is no phone number so if someone scams you out of thousands of dollars your fucked!
- Ebay charges you fees that you pay before you sell usually about 3 dollars then charges you another percentage of the item after it sells and then paypal takes it’s cuts but ill get to paypal later.
- You can’t sell anything on ebay anymore! If you try to sell anything on ebay, 1) you have to get through their ‘vero’ system which is them saying ‘oh no this item is not what you say it is’ even when it is 2) there is soo much other shit on there that even if yours does get listed, after all the fees charged you basically don’t make any profit. They do this because they think you have nowhere else to go! BUT YOU DO!! (see website!)
- Ebay can suspend your account for whatever reason they see fit and their is nothing you can do about it. NO PHONE # remember!
- People who are selling the same item as you can report your item as false or four language in the listing, WHATEVER THEY FEEL LIKE saying and ebay will immediately remove your listing. They don’t even look to see if the other person’s claims are true, they just remove your listing and STILL CHARGE YOU THE FEES! If this is an expensive item say a picasso painting, then you have to pay hundreds of dollars in fees.
- So many people have started online businesses through ebay but regardless of how long you have been with them or how high your feedback rating is, (ebay is based off of feedback rating) they will still cancel your membership based on what someone who has no feedback and has been a member for 1 hour says.
-ebay’s feedback system sucks. If you buy something from a seller and then the seller doesn’t send it, you go to put negative feedback on their page(which is what your supposed to do,) that seller can then go write whatever they feel on your page even though they fucked up and if you only have 2 positive ratings and then they put 1 negative one, your 100 % positive feedback will go to 50% and your account will become ‘limited’.

Reasons To Hate Paypal:
-Paypal is the SAME company as ebay. So why does ebay charge you a cut of the final sale then paypal does as well?? because they just want your money! even if they are charging you twice. Paypal’s fees are even worse than ebay. It’s like a 20 % cut of your item and ebays is like 10-15% which means your only getting about 65% of the total sale of your item. THATS A BIG COMMISSION! Considering your already paying them a fee to sell your item…
-Paypal is not FDIC ensured. The FDIC is the branch of the goverment that deals with banking and making sure your legal protected with your transactions. What this means for paypal users is : paypal has no obligation whatsoever to refund lost money/fees.
-Ok for example, paypal has something called a ‘reverse chargeback’ what this is , is when say your selling an item for 1000$ on ebay. buyer buys it, pays you through paypal. Paypal puts money into your “paypal” account. Buyer then decides you know what, I really don’t want to pay for this item but I want my money back. He just goes up to paypal, files for a reverse chargeback, ’says’ he sent the item back (paypal does no formal investigation to see if they did or not, it’s just buyer vs. seller) and then that money you thought was secure in your paypal account is gone. On top of all that, you don’t have your item and paypal can still charge you fees for the 1000$ sell that never occured.
-Good luck reaching them too because they also have no phone number. (certain times they will finally give you a number if threatened with legal action but it is a premium # so it’s like 1.50 a min. where they have ppl from another country who barely speak your lang. and aren’t getting paid shit hang up on you and tell you to email them.)
-Ebay now makes you have a paypal account and take paypal payments. I think it is a little off that anyone can require me to give them my bank account number when a credit card should do fine. Once they have your bank account number they can then take funds from your bank for ‘fees’ you didn’t pay.

So for those of you who are reading this and want another option there is one!!!

This website is soo much better than ebay, I already had a question when trying to sell something so I emailed them and got a response within 3 hours. Also, the prices are lower for those of you who want to buy, It is FREE to list, no fees! , Anyone can buy or sell and buy or sell pretty much anything you want w/o an FBI like investigation of your items. So, if you want to wipe ebay and paypal out, leave them join ebid. I am not an employee I am just fed up with ebay and paypal.
