Today’s economy has left people broke and homeless
Taken away dreams and turning hope into hopeless
With no money to gain, no job to offer, struggles become a way of life
People turn happiness into depression, for good life equals strife
Hardships become overpowering
Strong support systems become broken
A caring relationship turns to distance
Not knowing the affect pushed on our young ones
Our world seems to have stopped turning
As the way of life lowers its standards
Downgrading our American dream
For this is out economy heartbreak.
