A Poem of a my inner Child.
As a child we hold the weight of the world on our shoulders
Slowly we release the tension as years move on and we get older
We grow up and mature within our mind
Look back and wander how we could be so blind
Because we couldn’t comprehend the reality of adulthood
There is no one there to show you what to do
You’re on your own to cast out the old and start anew
Start a family with the mate of your dreams
Only to realize that they are not who they seem
Which reminds of the child’s toy
An illusion in his mind that brings him joy
It doesn’t matter how many years until old age sets in
One can never truly be an adult without keeping the child within
