Written for challenge 18. What if we had no vices, no temptations? Is the lose of you humanity worth the absence of guilt?

Knowledge we crave, it’s richness and pleasure;

By these rewards,  ourselves to measure.

Though, Ignorance seems a beautiful beast;

False feelings of bliss in knowing least.

To be animals caring not of wrong or right;

No sins to commit, no wars to fight.

Our conscience and soul is human sorrow;

Shame and guilt, our unique harrow.

To remain against holy temptation unproved,

Synonymous to forgiveness be removed.

With evil left unfelt, no vice you bemoan;

Love’s graceful bloom, abides yet unknown.

    Wow, I thought that was very very well written. (lol, I was going to say cool but that sounded lame…) Another word that comes to mind is “beautiful,” you are either very talented or very skilled. I really enjoyed reading this.

    An excellent poem for the challenge. You illustrate the amazing contradictions that can be the gateway to soul. Well Done!

    \”Love\’s graceful bloom, abides yet unknown\”. What a thought-provoking piece this is. There is no high without the low.

    Very good poem.
    Not sure I could live up to the end bit.

    Indeed ignorance can be a wonderful beast. But then so can knowledge. Damn life and it’s hypocrisies :-) . Great poem indeed. Thanks for playing.
