Fifth chapter.
Skipping
Isn’t as hard as one might think.
All we had to do was walk straight
out the front doors of our school.
No one looked, & no one asked.
I’m not going to lie, I was pretty
nervous about getting caught.
Nolan says the teachers don’t
know your skipping, only the
attendance woman really knows
who’s skipping, & who’s actually
at home sick. When she finds out
she calls home. I guess I should
probably worry about that phone
call, but my dad won’t be getting
home until after supper time. I’ll
have to make sure I’m home first.
But now we’re on our way to Aarons
house. Nolan says we needed to stop
by there to pick up, which I guess is

some dank bud.
Yeah, Like I knew what
that meant. Either way, I
smelt it, & the scent was strong.
Fresh & clean, it smelt like
summer. It had little orange
hairs all over the dark
green leaves, which made
it kind of pretty.
But how do we smoke this
in little hunks? I’ve only
smoked it as a joint before,
& I don’t see any papers around.
“What are we smoking
this out of?” I pretended
to know what I was talking
about.
We started driving down
the street, towards a small
riverside parking lot. Check
the glove box. He pointed
while steering us around
a corner, & into a parking
spot.
I opened the glove box &
immediately saw a pipe, as
well as a 1L pop bottle
with a bag hanging from it.
The pipe seemed a little more
straight forward, so I grabbed
