An autistic child’s struggle to identify and live with others is always a big hurdle, more so, because parents, relatives and on-lookers do not have the patience to care enough to communicate with someone who forms emotions, thoughts and action much slower than the average person.
“Emotional Bondage -AUTISM”
Oh, like a baby who cannot yet talk,
Cannot express the anguish he has felt;
Often when the toy blocks with which he plays,
Someone has suddenly taken away.
Taken for granted, he cannot complain,
No one can know his hurt or many pains;
Baby’s world is of emotions only,
Without understanding, he’s left lonely.
Some day his own speech may suddenly come,
Alas! By then, it may be too late;
As confused emotions from when small,
Remained hidden, through that stolen toy.
Years may pass, newer toys sure to come,
None can replace that from childhood gone;
Care and attention should always be given,
Lest we create child’s mind in prison.
