Short descriptive poem of a person’s love for their lover letting them know that they are not alone and telling them how much they mean to them.
I see you off walking in the distance,
By yourself, hoping what you think is real in this escapade of existence.
You wonder to yourself thinking that this life you live will ever change,
But those memories that burn in your mind seem real but yet so strange.
You try to hide those tears escaping from the corners of your eyes,
And you quickly wrap your arms around yourself, oh how I wish those were mines.
You’re quick to shut yourself away, wanting to be alone;
And when you were taking hits, I jumped in and let those words sink into my bone.
Watching you take each step, I just want to hold your hand,
And let you know that the scars you hide are of a beautiful brand.
When you look at me with those eyes containing all your pains,
All I want to do is just take you away and remove those stains.
To see you standing alone, I just want to embrace and give you my love,
And when I leave you for a short goodbye, you’re the only thing I dream of.
Staying with you and being with you I poured out my empathy,
And at the end of the day, what we have, makes a beautiful symphony.
