Case Studies on Gedangan Commuinities, Sub-district Cepogo, Boyolali.
This research aims to analyze the activities of community empowerment (especially farming communities) that took place in the village of Gedangan, Sub-district Cepogo, Boyolali; Analyzing the things that underlie the implementation of activites with the target communities; to analyze relationships in the form of empowering agents with the target communities; analyzing rare-steps adopted in empowerment; and analyze factors that influence empowerment.
Qualitative research methods used as the basic method of this research. The informant conducted in a manner deliberately (purposively). To test the data validity using triangulation techniques and methods. Whereas for the analysis of data using domain analysis techniques.
The results of research found that in empowerment activities can help communities to use resources owned to support their agricultural activities. In practice, empowerment is only focused on the manufacture of livestock feed supplements. Empowerment is done based on a desire by an NGO to help the community in order to improve the quality of their lives and learn the concept of sustainable agriculture. In this activity, an agency to facilitate the empowerment hold the position equal to the target. The facilitator always emphasized the growth of the community’s ability to think about the problem. Broadly speaking communities empowerment is influenced by three things, first, internal factor or communities. Second, the agents of empowerment or facilitators. And third, the resources that owned by the communities. In fact, empowerment activities in Gedangan have not been able to touch all the villagers.
