God’s children don’t belong in bars.

Ash on the table,
Smoke in the air,
Lights swirling,
On empty chairs,

Music bumping blasted loud,
But I’m not moving to the sound,
Dressed up like it’s a special occasion,
Looking for love in the wrong places,

Stupid is as stupid does,
So if I do you I’m dumbing down,
Stepping down from the thrown,
That makes me a prince,
For this drunk and hot girl,
Yeah that makes perfect sense,

You get by on looks but not to far,
Even if you drive the fastest car,
There are only so many places you can go,
But I pray that this world doesn’t take you down

I really think this is beautiful. The idea that looks, possession, and location shouldn’t choose who we fall for whether a one night stand or forever. Beautiful touching words.
