Bear tree branches sparkle like diamonds
As they glisten in the sun
With poor pine branches sagging
As winter’s far from done

Yet with a sky so very blue
And the moments without the breeze
I find it hard to remember scenes
As beautiful as these

The peace and silence that’s all around
Bringing quiet in our head
Guide us to see our futures
With joy instead of dread

I love this peace
This freedom to dream
Which tends to help us remember
All things aren’t as they seem

For with days like this
All can’t be bad
So we should do our best
To enjoy and be glad.
