A mothers love is priceless. By Simonne Liberty.
My mom cleaned houses for the wealthy
who did not have to worry about security
we never had enough to eat
leftovers she brought home to us
were a treat
she learned to do so much on her own
sewing to decorate our simple home
she knitted socks better than store bought
and never wasted anything we got
she taught us to love and give
values of how we should live
we never had a life of luxury
but we had a lot of respectability
she read us stories and sang us songs
helped us learn rights from wrongs
she expressed her love in her deeds
sacrificing her goals for our needs
she deserved a life of her own
once we were grown
she now can do some of the things
that freedom and maturity brings
the bond between us is strongly stitched
because of her love my life is enriched
