As a writer/poet, I publish about one or two poems a day. I don’t necessarily get paid but I do what I like and what makes the most sense to me. My style changed because I learned about love, I learned what it could do and how powerful it truly was. When I was writing this, I almost broke in tears as to how I felt, which was happiness, I suppose. My audience, the people who read my stuff on facebook, triond, and of course, wikinut; have all been asking me to show them more. So I guess I will. Another love poem that goes to my audience. Give
This
Up.
Whatever
Resistance
I had
Is now gone.
Funny
How it went.
How this goes
Now
Is yet
Nothing but
A total mystery.
As then
Nothing else
In the world
Matters.
Just this.
Just here
Right now.
So close
And even
Closer
Now.
This dance
Is between
The two of us
And nothing
Can get between us.
Where
Is it that
I can smell
The roses
Or is that
Her perfume?
I can kiss
Her neck
And do so
Multiple times
Ever so
Gently.
To relax
Just hand
In hand.
To look
Into her eyes
And see nothing
But peace.
To feel
Her skin
So pure
So calm.
Is this
How love
Feels?
I feel like
We’re
The only ones
Here.
I’m in her arms
She’s in my arms.
This is all
Just a dream
That became
A reality.
