One of a great many poems describing the end of the world, coming soon to a town near you.

Entropy in motion, a bright skirmish in the sky
Stripped to its component atoms
Which proceed to divide
Not so much an explosion
As a sundering of the eyes,
Kamikaze assault on the ears
A siren’s swansong cry.

A sprinkling down of pixie dust
There’s magic in the air
It clings at skin like napalm
Bright as blooming solar flares,
And it’s strange the way that madness is the only thing
For which we never seem to be quite prepared
Yet there’s so much of it going around
And those with plenty do love so to share.
