Written while I was going through a rough time, and while watching the rain in the Black Hills of South Dakota, I found myself.

To be free of this world,
my spirit wishes to be.
To be gone of this hatred,
my soul wishes for me.

To leave this cruel world behind,
all the sin and disbelief.
To continue on my walking path,
into the world without fear and grief.

To live separate from this unclean world,
filled of sickness and disease.
To rest in peace with those before,
and pray to the Great One on my knees.

To cry out for all the wrong I did,
screaming forgiveness through my pain.
To die for what I most believe in,
that evil shouldn’t be one to gain.
