Poem from 2004, sinners escaping the world.
Forlorn figures dancing slowly through the mist,
A halo dangles abandoned on a crescent moon.
The sinners come out to play tonight.
They fall along, blinded to pain never missed.
Wont you join? There is still room.
The Sinners come out to play tonight.
Shapes in the moonlight,
jumping in and out of time.
The animals around cry, for their plight.
As they see the macabre dance, as a sign.
The Sinners come out to play tonight.
Inside the forest of founded hope.
They fall without reason, or a right,
And only one another to hold
Untouchable they walk amidst the misty world.
Unreachable, they dance in their dreams.
Their every sinful wish being unfurled.
Lost to the world, or only so it seems.
Here they have no reason to go back.
Here they have no reason to live.
For they have found peace living off the track.
And here they have no worship go give.
You’ll hear their voices burning between the trees.
For tonight the sinners came out to dance…forever.
They’ve escaped from the father’s decrees.
For tonight the sinners came out to leave…forever.
They run through the forest…
Empty heads, without care or worry,
They run through the forest…
Without reason to be in a hurry.
In the dank moonlight,
they dance with the devil in a misty field.
In this macabre sight,
They find no reason to yield.
For the sinners came out to die tonight.
They found exit in red.
For the sinners came out to pass tonight.
And they left, without a whisper uttered or said.
