A poem about the soul.

Essence

Image via Wikipedia

The soul, mine and yours,

Comprised of all we are,

Emotion; courage and fear,

Thoughts; good and evil,

Trials; sweat and tears.

Birthed by God from

The dust of the stars,

Then the breath of life,

Gifted with free will

To do as we please.

We can do what we want

With this; called life,

Some called to virtue,

Some called to destroy,

The choice is yours.

But what is the soul?

Where does it reside?

Hidden behind walls

Built by our true nature?

Questions that plague man.

The soul is humility,

The sou; unconditional love,

Each person has a soul,

Yet all souls are as one,

This is our essence.
