Webster’s Dictionary defines Solipsism as “a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing”.

My personal philosophy falls somewhere between Solipsism and Absurdism. However, I love my family and friends, both animal and those animals termed as “human”. Here is a Solipsist Valentine’s Day poem I wrote for my wife that I will now share with another aspect of my consciousness that I value. That being all of those online that I have contact with through these fragile strings of energy we call The Internet.

I don’t care about you.
What I care about is my perception of you.

You don’t care about me.
What you care about is your perception of me.

Can we merge our perceptions and care about us?

I like this one too. Very clever, and very true.

Spot on the mark. 5 lines of simple realisation. Impressed again. :)
