I put on a smile
And step into the world
Trying to act through every moment

My daydreams turn into nightmares
As my demons surround me
But I never surrender

Hope comes and goes
But never lingers too long
There’s always another battle
I’ve cried countless tears

No tear falls softer,
No fear diminishes
And I awake
To confront yet another day
