I thank You for this life Lord
That I’m daily blessed to live
I’m thankful for all the things I have
That I am able to give.

Like this love inside my heart
Bursting forth joy every day
Always trying to brighten others lives
In some tiny way.

The joy I feel from giving
And especially from doing for
Makes me want to do even more things
To know this joy forevermore.

And no matter how the joy may come
Or how long it may take to find
We have to daily search for ways
To leave all but the joy behind.

And as each new day starts again
With sun brightening skies of blue
With our joy and with our faith
We can always be certain we’ll get through.
