Poem regarding good (or not so good) neighbours.
Every home I have lived in,
they’ve been around
some happy, some sad,
some who’ve constantly frowned,
chat over the fence or a wave passing by,
reassuring and comforting,
without reasoning why.
Just lately one neighbour
has bought a new dog,
the barking and whining
leaves others agog,
to the left we have drilling
at the oddest of hours,
our peace and tranquility
it constantly sours!
The old man just opposite,
plants pots day and night,
his gardens a beauty,
just his minds not quite right.
He potters in the garden,
come rain or come shine,
I’m hoping that some day,
he’ll come and do mine.
Child at number 10,
has been bought a guitar,
I surely could throw it,
some distance afar,
My neighbours tho noisy,
have other delights,
heres hoping the dog barks,
and never does bite!!
