This poem was a work of collaboration. I took a few of my writings and developed an idea to write a statement about being tired of sad poetry. This work is speaking about having read a sad poem or poems and being saddened by it. The alliteration was not the reason for writing, it just flowed out that way.

Everything I Hate About Short, Saddening Poetry

Lines slung over sadness,i would love them if i could.

Screaming of strung-out,

sickening sorrow.

They shoot my smile with

seemingly,

a satisfactory significance

to shy me silent

and shun me a stranger.

I read it, then again out loud.

Sentenced to a serious mind

like training a scared puppy.

Stuck being sorry to a signature under a sentence.

They shoot my smile with the lines,

Slung over sadness.

Everything I Hate About Short, Saddening Poetry .
