A poem to break my Christmas cold spell.

everything is going to be alright

just keep telling yourself that

the airbag will deploy

the police will get there in time

everything is going to be alright

at least you’ve still got your life

at least you’ve still got your life

but where is your life?

where is your wife?

everything is going to be alright

just keep telling yourself that

the ambulance won’t arrive late

they won’t roll her out

and keep you here

everything is going to work itself out

of commitments

and expectations

in time

you will learn to stave off the panic

to find strength in weakness

everything is going to be alright

just keep telling yourself that

You can feel the panic in those words. Well written.

Once again shocked but enthused by your work. Louise Labudde likes this too.
