Poem #29 for the man I’ve been loving for a year!
I see you everywhere, oh! yes,
I see you at school, I see you at home; even when I rest.
I see you everywhere, indeed,
I see you in my head; you may be everything I need.
I see, you’re everywhere to me.
You stay in my eyes after you leave, and the warmth from my blamket as I sleep, it’s from you that I receive.
I see you in the morning as I yawn and close my eyes, I see you on every cloud and when the sun begins to shine.
I see you in the mirror as I wipe the steam away, even when I let you go! a part of you just stays.
Sometimes your image hurts and brings me so much pain, other times might as well give in; your love I can’t attain.
In my world you are ubiquitous— seemingly just everywhere,
I discovered something new; and now is when I’m scared.
It’s not that I’m in love with you, no, I knew that before,
it’s something deeper that I see; that I cannot ignore.
As I brushed the eye shadow gently on my lid, I noticed something in the mirror; that I never did.
I knew I saw you everywhere; even in my lies, I just didn’t know; you were inside my eyes.
And now I know that you are there, I want to see you all the time,
and when I give the mirror a stare, it makes me feel as if you’re mine.
If that’s amazing; this is better, your eyes is my reflection and I want to stay in them, forever.
