Poem about why I haven’t been around lately. Computer crashed and Santa didn’t bring me a new one. Must explain!

Love my cyber friends

yes I do

Never have they ever made me feel blue

Indeed they never do

Just wanted to let you all know

that I haven’t forgotten any of you. No!

My old pc is old and out of sorts

will not cooperate

oh my can I bear this upset

that I must show up on my friend’s article

late, late, late

Forgive me

far this pc is out of date

Wishing for a new shining one

when the week is done

Love you one and all

Your’re all the best

from the north, south, east, and west

I understand, I had to buy a new one last spring when mine died and would cost a fortune to be fixed. So I had to buy a new one, hope everything is back to normal for you soon.

Thanks Jenny. I am sorry to hear that Santa didn’t bring you a new laptop. Hope all of your wishes come true for the upcoming New Year.

Nice to hear from you again Jenny.
My PC also gives me a lot of problem recently, busy to do a recovery now, so on off on off many times, feel the pinch to buy new one also, sigh…

Never mind the computer, your poem is beautiful.

    that sucks..

I am on dial up myself, it takes ages to do stuff… and I get frustrated when our internet goes down.

I know I felt lost without connection a couple of years ago when my computer gave out. Thank you for your message in prose for to tell us you are still alright.

Been there and done that. Had my laptop crash and burn and I only had access to my work computer for about 6 weeks. Unfortunately, my employer thinks I should be working when I am on the clock, which limited my Triond time to my lunch hour. :)

Hope the problem can be resolved soon.

The trials and tribulations of modern technology. We are so lost when our little friend the computer gets a head ache.

Computers, they are great when they work, and cause a lot of distress when they don’t
    Great piece.

I cannot take it anymore, a writer/author/poetess should not have to be without her pen or PC. Can you send me your address again, I will try to help you get another PC!!

  • Bruce Officer on Jan 18, 2011

I hope your PC problems are now fixed, fixed, fixed
And all these nasty bugs have been nixed, nixed, nixed
So that once more you can pen
A verse of rhyme, or ten
With wit and sense and humour intermixed, mixed, mixed!
