This poem was written for my grand babies. All of them so special and unique and all of them an extension of me.
When all of you were born on your special day,
I fell in love with you all and just wanted to play.
You captured my heart from the very first see.
You are an extension of your parents and also of me.
Your tiny toes ten at count and crinkled up baby nose,
made me melt and brought us all so close.
The younger years were for bonds to be made,
as you grew and we all just played.
Smiles and giggles so many to count,
tears also fell at times but were dried away before they were able to mount.
Now, William you are the oldest but by only one day and your feelings run so deep,
No matter the situation your loving ways you always keep.
I will forever remember when you was twelve and Grammy came for a visit and you was so bold,
and in the kitchen at mommys you grabbed me and to me you held so tightly you hold.
Malachi, you too, are forever my special pumpkin pie,
not only for me but also an apple in everyones eye.
Faith LeeAnn my special little one,
you are a princess that’s already been done.
Mary Ann you are just like your Nana that’s passed,
you never knew her but in you she will always just last.
Brandon, you too I love from the heart,
but circumstances happen, and maybe one day we will no longer part.
I love all of you from the bottom of my heart,
each of you unique and loving and never we will part.
Be good to yourselves and never sell yourselves short,
you can do and be anything you set your minds too,
and I promise you that straight from my heart.
Whenever you need me just call my name,
for you all I will drop what I am doing and heal all your pain.
Always hold your heads high and never let that go,
what you want to do and be I know will just flow.
Stay positive and upbeat,
don’t let anyone ever take that away,
stay young at heart always never forget to just play.
Life will always have its ups and its down,
that’s called experiences and lessons to learn so don’t ever just frown.
My special little ones I love you all so very much,
Forever and ever Grammy and you will always touch!
