Poem.

Where’s the blue macaw?
Gone are the nature
By action of hunters,
Feared predators
That just sold it
Collectors.
Where is the lion tamarin golden?
Only yesterday was captured
To be marketed.
Where is the jaguar?
It threatened species,
In some regions
It has been completely extinguished
She had skin removed
Or maybe cornered
On top of a tree,
Or maybe who knows
Lost habitat
Because of deforestation
Indiscriminately.
Where are the other big cats?
The tiger, lion and leopard
Have also been killed
Or living under threat
No chance of survival,
Like wild cats:
The puma and the ocelot.
Where are the insects and reptiles?
Were victims of smuggling,
Biopiracy
Or maybe the pollution.
Carnivores, birds, whales …
Dolphins and turtles
Being extinguished by cold
The hands of the man himself
