Oh how they linger on those who have more than they need.

It rains and rains wherever she goes

Nobody cares or ever knows

Deep within she wanted to be free

But she fought and stood up bravely

Alone is her name and Abandoned her soul

None who like her, their hearts of coal

As she stares on, oh how she wishes she could need

The feeling of desire only left her worried

The wounds of time do not leave

Of the past… does she grieve.

Those who pass always wonder

All this time has left her tender

What happens to the heart when left cold?

The eyes envision a future forever to hold

But that of the abandoned girl, that is

Nowhere to go with a hopeless wish

Her heart has left her a few history’s ago

She sees from the eyes of an abandoned soul…
