Intelligence is plainly seen, bright as diamonds, emerald green

Within the eyes like sparkling lights, bubbly wines, candle lights.

Eyes of Truth?

Intelligence is plainly seen, bright as diamonds, emerald green

Within the eyes like sparkling lights, bubbly wines, candle lights

Light as joy, free as flight, on wings of spring’s warm breeze alight

They cast their warmth to all in sight, sunshine smiles, firelight

Yes kindness, warmth oft fills the eyes, as so evil, lustful, scornful lies

Fact and falsehood, sharing bed, speaking life yet wishing death

Black as Satan’s curling locks, to her do youthful, yearlings flock

To spy, to search the depths of which, no end they find, but sorrows bitch

Yet in the eyes does beauty rest, the flesh of souls, in them do test

We live, we lie, we give our life, for sapphire stones, lover, wife

Like azure seas from Pico’s height, jeweled cobalt, gleaming ice

Perfect, supple, blue as peace, floating, silent, seas of fleece

Yet lives a passion deep inside, a burning truth from which we hide

Smiles and hopes reflected there, joys and dreams we ought to share

Impassioned, hearty, lustful glance, in orbs of brown that seeks romance

In lover’s sated, hearty breath, weary eyes, moistened breasts

Yet truth be known, it matters not, if blue or gray, if green or not

Whether black or brown, or hazel mix, the eyes still yet, hold all the tricks

So full of life, of love and hate, of kindness, vice and gentle grace

Yet truth inside, we seldom see, but luring lights hung cross the sea

The truth we seek is further still, than two round eyes, in climax thrill

For love is born not of the eyes, but of the heart, the soul and skies

Love is not what bodies do, but what still lives when passions through

Windows yes, but tomes of truth? On which to cling and trust, forsooth

Nay I say to all who’ll hear, there is no truth in rounded sphere

What truth there is will never be, for beauty hides what lust can’t see

Seek not of things that one can’t find, yet pleasure in a heart that’s kind

For fools deny and wisdom yells, if eyes can lie, they always will
