A (less than) five minute poem I wrote.

Time and time again, I play the fool for you.

I listen to your falsehoods and make believe they’re true.

You tell me that you love me and I believe each word

And then you go and cheat me; all that love transferred

On to another, more revolting than your own.

Though my heart is broken, still I find I haven’t grown

Away from your kingdom, the court of all your lies;

I’m just a simple jester, walking round with tight closed eyes.
