My smile is gone

It feels so strange

But now the only thing that fits me

Is a blank stare

My body doesn’t move the way it used to

It’s stiff

And uncooperative

It used to feel light

Now it’s just heavy

The things that make me me

Are fading

Fast it seems

My voice is next

Slowly but surely

I struggle to bring it back

But I can already feel it

I’m tired of talking

Too annoyed to laugh

I have to force it all out

And it hurts so bad

I miss it already
