I wrote this after watching a program about dementia.
You gradually faded from what you were
changing tragically beyond compare
It was so frustrating to be there
knowing that you are in there somewhere
We used to see little glimmers of you
small miracles that you were forcing through
but in a blink you would be gone again
and we craved for how you were then
