Fairytale of Love

Love worth having is love worth fighting for. Even when feelings fade, we can still return to a place where love is brand new and that path leads to happy endings.

If I told you there’s a way to be tied down

while maintaining your freedom

would you be more apt to say, “I do?”

If we were lovers and never became friends

would we find happiness after heated discourse

or only look forward to sensational intercourse?

If you found me in the wrong

would you silently recite our vows

or let bygones grow into unforgettable issues?

Would you take the time to forever be mine

or slip away year by year until all your love disappears?

Do you have what it takes to love after forgiveness

or is this the kind of love that needs

the stars to align in order to be seen?

There is no love like that of a fairytale

but we tend to overlook the part about

vanquishing the villains

So I want you to know

when feelings fade I will choose you

no matter how bleak the situation

this love is destined.

Thought I found my prince charming once and my fairy tale romance I wanted since I was a small girl.But in reality I got was a frog disquised as a handsome prince and got warts instead.But it was well worth it while it lasted and would not regret anything that was done or said by both parties.A love like that like the love doctor said isnt an easy thing to find.I had it once and let it go to save me and who i was,I count myself a very lucky lady to have had a fairy tale love once in my life.Who Im with now isnt a prince nor promises a fairy tale romance,but he does love me and here when its needed most….cant ask for any beter then this.Liked this……very well done.
