I dedicate this one to my husband, Todd, who when we met after years of not seeing each other was just coming out of a bad relationship that was full of emotional distress.
Oh, twisted web of widow spiders deceit
How tangling you must be
Sick, uncouth, and poisonous to the bite is she
Spinning round her victim
A young male appealing to the senses
Yet, his fate he knows not
Wist treading commonly dangerous ground
The she-devil lures the prey
Kind and gentle
Something in her eye there here glimmers
Any wise female could say
This man-killer only has pleasuring sights
To which she must see and persuade
So circumstance matters little
To an eight-legged siren of the arachnid
Her goal not only to self-satisfy
But to murder opportunity her prey elsewhere holds
Dear prey, do not be fooled, do not stray
For death shall come
And death of love in decay
