Dark angel kiss me just once more with your seductive and aesthetic lore…

Midnight mass by the pale light
of the wane moon;
falling through the leaves
which with cold winds will follow soon.
Reverent silence fills the air
while I prepare the sacrament
in the chalice of despair
which holds the host on which my soul was spent.

Oh, sacred sacrilege set me free.
I only long to no longer be.
I pray thee take this cross from me;
its sickening weight I cannot bear.

Please let its burden fall away
with this piercing pennance that I pay.
I promise thee I won’t far stray
from your warm and loving care.

Dark angel kiss me just once more
with your seductive and aesthetic lore.
Wrap me in those soft wings I adore
and let me fall away again.
